The 5th annual Splash of Red is fast approaching! On May 27, at the Fairmont Palliser, HIV Community Link will be hosting its fundraising and awareness benefit that gathers trendsetters, influencers and thought leaders wanting to show their support. The event supports programming in Calgary and Southeastern Alberta. We have Ministers, MLA’s and other special guests coming to this great event, so don’t miss out!

This year’s Splash of Red will feature a variety of unique entertainment experiences,including Juno nominees AM Static, performances by Masks International Show (M.I.S.), one of the most extraordinary art organizations in the province, and Vanilla Disco. Our silent and live auction will feature the art of established and emerging Calgary artists. You can also bid on experiences such as heli tours and boudoir photo sessions, or take home wines worth $100 or more for a $20 ticket.

Join us for a Strong Voices Community BBQ!

We are planning a Strong Voices Community BBQ on June 10, 2017, from 12 to 2 pm, at HIV Community Link. The barbecue will take place in the parking lot and is open to all. We will have care package giveaways. Thank you Foresters Financial for the support!

Strong Voices is a culturally informed outreach and support program. Our goal is to build wellness through cultural knowledge, participation and identity, while reducing risk and addressing immediate needs for Indigenous communities.

Save the Date: HIV Community Link’s AGM is on June 20th

We are very excited to invite you to our 2016 Annual General Meeting, on June 20, at the Kahanoff Conference Centre in downtown Calgary.

Our special guest for the event is  Bruce Richman, HIV activist and the Founding Executive Director of Prevention Access Campaign and the “Undetectable = Untransmittable” campaign (#UequalsU). He has worked in global philanthropy for over two decades developing interventions, fundraising and social marketing campaigns on a range of issues including HIV stigma and prevention, sustainable development, childhood obesity, violence prevention, and gang intervention. Bruce was diagnosed with HIV in 2003. He received his Ed.M. in Administration, Planning & Social Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Bruce Richman will have a presentation on U=U at our AGM, stay tuned for details!
