Harm Reduction 101: Sex, Drugs, and Human Rights
In this 3-hour training, participants will gain a historical overview and practical perspective of harm reduction, explore social determinants of health, and develop an understanding of how systemic discrimination and stigma can impact those living with or at risk of HIV and other sexually transmitted and blood borne infections. Participants will develop tools to enhance their confidence in discussing condoms and safer sex practices with others and be able to identify what tools to use in what situation. This 1-hour training will explain universal precautions and best practices focused on the protection and prevention against HIV, hepatitis C, and other blood-borne pathogens. This training will discuss safe disposal of biohazardous materials, safety precautions to help keep oneself safe, and best practices when working towards disease prevention.

Sex Work 101: Shifting Perspectives
This 3-hour training offers a comprehensive introduction to sex work and the sex industry in Calgary and Canada. Participants will gain an understanding of how social and structural factors create vulnerabilities within the sex work community and how existing legislation further perpetuates unsafe working environments.
