Welcome to Alison, the newest addition to SafeLink Alberta, joining us as our Fund Development Specialist. For those who have yet to have the pleasure to meet her, we wanted to give you an introduction.
“Underserved populations have always been a passion of mine.”
Before joining SafeLink Alberta, Alison was the Centre Director of a Youth Centre in Invermere for three years, catering to adolescents aged 11-18. A powerhouse in grant writing, she also wore numerous hats there, including fundraising, staff management, and more. Her holistic experience at the Youth Centre made her an expert in leading and understanding the multifaceted needs of underserved populations.
Alison’s heart is in non-profits. “Underserved populations have always been a passion of mine,” she shared. This sentiment is further echoed in her personal projects. During her downtime, Alison indulges in community-centered photo and video work, capturing the essence and stories of those around her.
“A huge part of who I am is being a community builder. It’s what I want to bring to this role now.”
But why SafeLink Alberta? Why now? Alison says, “A huge part of who I am is being a community builder. It’s what I want to bring to this role now.” As she matured, she recognized her myriad of skills and yearned to give back in more diverse ways.
We are delighted to welcome such a dynamic, community-driven individual to our organization. Alison’s rich background and genuine passion for her work undeniably position her to make significant strides in her new role.
