Current Opportunities
Volunteer with SafeLink Alberta at Our 2026 Casino Fundraiser!
SafeLink Alberta is looking for volunteers to help run our upcoming casino fundraising event at Elbow River Casino on Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7, 2026.
This event is part of Alberta’s charitable gaming program, and volunteers play supervised, well-supported roles that help us raise essential funds for our programs and services.
What Volunteers Do
All casino roles are guided by an AGLC advisor, and training is provided during your shift. Roles include:
General Manager / Alternate GM
Helps oversee the casino event and makes sure rules are followed. This role helps keep the day running smoothly.
Banker
Manages the main cash cage, including the chips and cash float. Good with numbers or basic computer skills? This might be for you.
Cashier
Exchanges chips for cash and provides change. Ideal for people who enjoy detail-oriented work and accuracy.
Chip Runner
Brings chips between the Banker and the gaming tables. This role involves moving around the floor and staying active.
Count Room Supervisor / Recorder
Supervises and records the counting of chips and cash. This is an administrative role that does not involve handling money directly.
Count Room Staff
Sorts and counts cash and chips at the end of the night. Great for people who like hands-on tasks and working with a small team.
