The time has come once again to gather and celebrate the diversity that is Calgary without Pride 2023 community engagement events.SafeLink Alberta (formerly HIV Community Link) is preparing for Pride and engaging our community with knowledge, safer supplies and informational resources for sexual health and wellness.

The diversity of the Calgary 2SLGBTQ+ community makes it such a vibrant and celebratory event for many Calgarians from different backgrounds, places to gather and experiences to share. SafeLink Alberta is no exception in the diversity of our upcoming community Pride events.


Want to join us?

Starting August 27th, find us set up at the Bridgeland Riverside Community Association for the Calgary Chamber of Commerce YYC Pride Market 10:00 am – 5:00 pm with community vendors, entertainment, and food for all ages.

The Container Pride Block Party hosted by TD Bank will see our resources available to the community on August 29th from 6:00 – 10:00 pm again with fantastic entertainment, circus acts, drag, food and beverages.

September 1 is the Pride weekend kickoff, and SafeLink Alberta will celebrate at two locations. First, with Lavender YYC and CBRC, we will be at the Containers in Kensington for their Queer Care Day event with HIV testing kits and resources. Second, we will be at the Palace Theatre with the amazing folks from WERK for NSFW Pride Edition. A fabulous evening full of fantastic drag, dance, adult celebrations, and libations, along with safer supplies for those more personal engagements.

September 2, you can find us set up on the Pride Festival Grounds at Prince’s Island Park with our resources and safer supplies for the first day of the Festival Grounds events.

September 3, still going strong, sees SafeLink Alberta in the Calgary Pride Parade with our float, community members, volunteers and staff, and swag items handed out along the route.

Wrapping up Pride weekend has SafeLink Alberta again joining the amazing folks from WERK for WERK Babylon at Sweet Loretta from 6:00 to midnight, always with safer supplies and information for the community.
