Knowledge Thirsty Thursdays: Safer Sex and Aging

During this Knowledge Thirsty Thursday we are discussing how safer sex practices change as we age. We’ve heard of the rising age of those living with HIV, and the syphilis and gonorrhea outbreaks in Alberta, but are we talking to the right people? According to stats Canada, the population where syphilis is at it’s highest is men aged 40-60. We will discuss the rising statistics of STIs in community living and the assumptions doctors make. We will welcome guest speaker Pink to talk about the struggles she faces with finding accessible tools and resources; and we’ll turn it over to you to ask all your burning questions. This Knowledge Thirsty Thursday will be a no-holds-barn, no-shame space for you to air your privates.
