HCV & Syphilis 101: What’s the deal with these sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections?

Although medical knowledge for the prevention of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections continues to advance, many individuals have a limited understanding of Hepatitis A,B, or C, and Syphilis. What are these STIs? What are their symptoms? Are they treatable? Are they deadly? Why are we seeing a resurgence in outbreaks in Alberta? In this 2-hour workshop, participants will be provided with the opportunity to ask these questions, understand these infections, deepen their knowledge of Hepatitis C and Syphilis, and learn how to support people who may test positive for these sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections.
