We at HIV Community Link would like to express our sincere condolences upon receiving news of yesterday’s Malaysia Airlines plane crash. It is a very sad day for the HIV/AIDS Community as about 100 people aboard the plane were traveling to the global AIDS conference in Australia.
Among the victims planning to attend was Dutch national Joep Lange, a top AIDS researcher and former International AIDS Society president. Many fear that breakthroughs in HIV/AIDS research will now be stalled.
At this sad and sensitive time we stand with our international HIV/AIDS family and send condolences to the loved ones of those who have been lost to this tragedy.
