We are a non-profit organization based in Calgary and Medicine Hat that serves communities across Southern Alberta.
We work to reduce the harms associated with sexual activity and substance use. We believe that everyone deserves access to healthcare services and support, regardless of their background.
Our vision at SafeLink Alberta is to create inclusive, empowered, and healthier communities. We strive to promote health equity and reduce health disparities among marginalized populations.
At SafeLink Alberta, we see the humanity in those we serve and walk the path together to improve health and build understanding. We offer low-barrier, non-judgmental, and informed programs and services to:
- gay, bi, and other men who have sex with men
- people who use substances
- people living with HIV
- African, Caribbean, and Black communities
- Indigenous communities
- people engaged in sex work
- and pregnant individuals facing barriers with substance use, mental health, housing, and interpersonal violence.
